SHADESCAPE

A mindfulness retreat influenced by colour and dreamscape architecture.
The VR experience allows the user to explore the space around them and engage in various exercises that could benefit their mental health and mind-soul connection. Colour will play an important role in determining how each environment is created and the feelings it may evoke in the user.
A dreamscape is a dream-like environment inspired by artificial and whimsical architecture. It is purely fictional, but reflects a place where one would like to escape from the constraints of reality.
*This prototype was built during two-weeks, therefore has not been fully fleshed out and acts as a proof of concept. The project outlines the user flow and story, visual aesthetic and includes two shade environments (green and pink).

3D mesh renders of two different coloured environments highlighting the importance of space and architecture.
︎︎︎ Arches make spaces look bigger and allow light into the environment.
︎︎︎ Water and glass add great dimension to the user’s immersion in the space around them as they reflect light.



The VR meditation experience is built in a first-person movement controller so the user can navigate through the 3D space and fully immerse themselves in the environment. The 3D environments have been created using Blender and then imported into Unity to create game and VR controls.
